Saints' WR Meachem out until training camp

05/10/2010 - New Orleans, LA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - New Orleans Saints wide receiver Robert Meachem will likely be out until the start of training camp after undergoing toe surgery on Monday.

The procedure was to fix torn cartilage in the second toe of his left foot which, according to head coach Sean Payton, he injured last season. The coach stated he hopes to have the wideout back close to the start of training camp in late July.

Meachem missed his rookie season in 2007 due to a knee injury, but broke out in 2009 with 45 catches for 722 yards and nine scores.
